Smiling Ferret speakeasy and wine Cellar

The Speakeasy is the neighborhood watering hole open by chance only. Drinks are switched up weekly. It is open random days Thursday-Sunday, all snowdays, and during events. The only way you know if the speakeasy is open is to follow @merryweatherinn on facebook or instagram and look for a picture of a ferret posted to the story. Entrance instructions are posted there. What’s with the ferret? You have to come to the speakeasy to find out!

The last Thursday of every month we are open for Cellar Nights. Back in the mid 1800s, dark alley houses and bars served food and drinks with raucous entertainment until the wee hours of the morning. They were dens and sinks of roaring saturnalia filled with scoundrels, ruffians,  horse-jockeys, highwaymen-captains, unfrocked parsons; deboshed adventurers, and more!  These characters, all garnished with dirt and liquors, with the fumes of rum, punch, wine, and tobacco smoke, filled the rooms with oaths and shrieks and horrid songs, with the clatter of glasses and tankards, the clash of rapiers and verberations of bludgeons. It has been know to get that fun at the Inn…you’ll have to come and check it out for yourself!! Wines are available by the glass and charcuterie is provided
